THE BOOK OF DEBORAH 8/24/24

EVOLUTION

This Deborah, meaning the 2024 model, is feeling schizophrenic and offensive, a mixture of needing to prophesy, judge, and rant in no particular order.

Ready?

First, we were off the electrical grid the other day, and I realized we need to prepare. We’ve all heard that the apocalypse is coming yet again, and it won't be raining frogs. Get your garden growing and your bunker built.

Second, there is nothing wrong with struggle. It’s good practice and keeps you on your toes. We have it pretty easy these days, so working on survival skills won’t hurt.

Third, ask questions, and if nobody answers, answer them yourself. Here’s one. What inspires competition? My answer. “Boredom. Here’s where the struggle is important—instead of competing, cooperate."

Fourth, off subject but, for the Bards out there - dumb it down for me. I need the “Poetry For Dummies” versions. Simple poetry transports me into the heart and soul of the words, thank you.

Fifth, I forgot. I hate it when that happens. Oh, I remember. Get to the point and then shut up. I heard you the first time; no need to repeat. What do you think I’m deaf, don’t understand the language, trying to make me agree with you? Replying “what” sometimes means I’ve turned you off. If I need to know more, I will find out.

Sixth, we don’t all need to be the same. Equality is detrimental to everything. We need diversity—the normal and the weird. And we don’t have to accept everything. If it’s presently a fact, fine. When it’s proposed to soothe someone’s idea of fact, that could be fine for you, but for me, it’s a hard no. We are not equal.

Seventh, embrace evolution. Changing our bodies is necessary if it is serving a purpose. Artificial breasts the size of milk jugs are wonderful if you can feed a large family with them. Fat-injected big asses are great if your life requires you to sit a lot. Sorry, I had to lighten the conversation.

Back to the message: why haven’t we developed the autonomic connection of the brain to the heart, the altruistic one? Considering all our abilities, why are we still arguing over backyards? Who’s got the best leader? We have lost the way amid the ludicrous distractions we create. Let the cream rise to the top.

I don’t mind working at what I do best and don’t mind supporting those who are driven in other endeavors. We need each other. It’s the stimulus for evolution. I’ve paragraphed past the seventh. Time to rest.
